The World’s Gone Mad…

The world’s gone mad, her lungs are on fire. She screams at the top of her voice for this to expire. Her body aches as she feels this pain. She manages to stand as she holds my hand.

Scared of being alone, she thinks no one can save her. She believes no one will understand. She turns her head away in shame, not realizing she is stronger then most men.

She’s only a girl who has suffered the worst. Blood drips down as she whispers, “I just want to rid myself of this curse.” She turns and I see one lonely tear, a bloody mess all over and in her hair. The most beautiful eyes to hide this disguise.

She reaches in her bag for something, anything to end her sadness. Realizing what’s going on I begin to understand, no matter how strong she is she’ll never be inside her mind.

She get’s weaker by the minute as she pushes me away. She whispers loud enough for me to hear, “It’s better off this way.” Her eyes close as I scream, knowing it’s too late. I fall to my knees.

I hear the click and take a deep breathe. I close my eyes and prepare to embrace eternal rest. The last thing I see is her asking for forgiveness, but not from me.

The wind blows as the noise fades, for a minute I can’t even see anything. I hear her soft voice telling me it’s okay. Whispering in my ear, “Now we can be together forever, with nothing to get in the way.”

I see her smile, as she wipes the tears away. For the moment the look in her eyes tells me all the sadness in her world has faded away.
